Friends and Confreres, you too can join in the ministry of serving the poor through SSSMILE Fellowship. What has been said about SSSMILE FELLOWSHIP helps us to envisage the compelling demand to live up to the Gospel-Rule: "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Lk 10:27).
And today what we dream about SSSMILE VILLAGE urges us to give an enthusiastic response to the Gospel-challenge: "Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me" (Matt 25:40). You too can do it by meeting and serving God in the poor and the needy.
Your Role:
You can play your role individually and collectively by:
Forming, organizing a unit of SSSMILE FELLOWSHIP of your
neighbours,
friends, or parishioners, acting through regular reading of, reflection
and discussion on the Biblical texts, which contain the revealed social
message to help the poor. Praying alone and in fellowship with others
interceding for the well being of the poor in the hearts of all
people.
Extending your helpful hands, enabling us to reach out to the poor,
the sick, the needy and the abandoned in the streets and to bring them
joy through the love and service in the SSSMILE Village by your sacrificial
but generous financial helps and gifts.
How Can You Help?
You can help by:
· Sponsoring a child,
the aged, handicapped, blind etc. by donating us US $200.00 or Rs.
9,000.00 per year.
· Providing means
for food for a day or many days in various homes of the SSSMILE Village;
· Giving Scholarships
for education of the children of the SSSMILE Village;
· Making donations
towards the vocational training of the youth of the SSSMILE Village;
· Donating to the
SSSMILE Village during a festival in your home such as birthday, baptism,
first communion, wedding and similar occasions.
Volunteering to
serve without any remuneration for a day/a week/a year/ life-time, as your
condition in life permits.
